I-64 exit at Hurstbourne Parkway to be closed September 20-23 | Transportation

LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) District 5 Office advises motorists that the exit ramp from eastbound Interstate 64 to northbound KY 1747 (Hurstbourne Parkway) will be closed this weekend. This exit ramp (Exit 15C) will be closed for bridge deck repairs and replacing of expansion joints.
The exit ramp is scheduled for closure from 8:00 p.m. on Friday, September 20 until 5:00 a.m. on Monday, September 23. Motorists should follow the signed detour via eastbound I-64 to Blankenbaker Parkway (Exit 17), access westbound I-64 and proceed to Hurstbourne Parkway.
MAC Construction and Excavating of New Albany, Ind. was awarded a contract earlier this year for bridge deck restoration and waterproofing on eastbound Interstate 64 over Hurstbourne Parkway. Repairs at the exit ramp are part of this project. The contract amount is $326,889 and has a completion date of November 15, 2013.
