Louisville, Ky. - Legend has it there are more spirits residing at Buffalo Trace Distillery than just those held in barrels at the warehouses. Most notable is the ghost of Colonel Albert Blanton, according to the popular TV show “Ghost Hunters” ®. Join Bourbon Women on Thursday, April 18 from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. for a haunted look at the legendary distillery.

This unique tour includes a passed hors d’oeuvres reception, signature cocktails featuring Buffalo Trace bourbon, and a very special grid tasting of Buffalo Trace’s products led by Master Distiller Harlen Wheatley. Cost is $25 for Bourbon Women members and $35 for non-members. Registrants must be at least 21 years old. Space is limited.

LOUISVILLE, KY – Cabela’s® World’s Foremost Outfitter® is making its way to Louisville’s neck of the woods with its first retail store in Kentucky. On Thursday, April 11, at 11:00am, the company will officially open its doors to the public, with a ribbon cutting ceremony beginning at 10:45am. The opening of Cabela’s first store in the Bluegrass with kick off with a weekend-long celebration that will include celebrity appearances, giveaways and more.

Cabela’s will be located at the intersections of Interstate 265 and 71 near the Summit shopping center, and will include such features as a mountain replica, indoor archery range, gun library, and a boat shop inside a massive 88,000 square foot building.   

The Louisville location is one of 13 additional stores the company has announced it will open by the end of 2014.
