Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell spoke to the Young Professionals Association of Louisville Friday afternoon.

LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – If you look at the presidential poll average right now, it is a virtual tossup.

When Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell spoke to the Young Professionals Association of Louisville Friday afternoon, he agreed and called it a 50-50 race with just a few weeks to go.

"Eight or 10 states are going to determine who wins. The closest to us is Ohio. Both sides are just doubling down, doing everything they possibly can to win," said McConnell.

McConnell said it is also a 50-50 proposition as to which party will control the U.S. Senate. Most projections have the Democrats holding on to a one or two seat majority.
