LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – A first of its kind community partnership between the University of Louisville, Actors Theatre, Jefferson County Public School and a local company is underway in Louisville.
Sleep Rock Thy Brain is three one-act plays that will utilize aerial performance to explore the brain science of sleep. U of L, Actors Theatre and Lincoln Elementary are working together with ZFX Flying Effects to bring the show to life from script to stage.
“We also, I think, have a really strong place in our heart for the learning side of things and that’s where we love working with the apprentice program at Actors Theatre. You know we talk about those of the future, that’s the future of this business and we need to educate them properly now,” said Terri Kirsch ZFX Flying Effects CEO.
Sleep Rock Thy Brain will premiere during the 37th annual Humana Festival of New American Plays in March 2013.
