TARC receives grant for new buses | News

LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – TARC’s bus fleet is getting a major overhaul.

Louisville’s bus service was awarded a $4 million grant from the Federal Transit Administration.

TARC plans to replace 12 buses with new clean diesel buses that are better for the environment and easier to maintain.

TARC was selected for the grant on a basis through the FTA’s state of good repair program, which replaces aging public transit vehicles and equipment throughout the country.
