New homes being built in Smoketown | News
LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – What used to be Sheppard Square public housing is becoming a distant memory.
Nine new homes are under construction on the property in the Smoketown neighborhood.
The new homes are part of the Hope Six Development put in place to replace the 70-year-old buildings.
The homes will eventually become mixed-income housing, similar to Liberty Green.
The homes are expected to be finished by December 2012.
The entire project is expected to be done by 2015.
