Kosair Charities donates money to U of L Hospital | Health
LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – Kosair Charities has donated $1 million to University of Louisville Hospital to support several child healthcare programs.
Eight health related programs will split the money with the largest amount going to the Department of Pediatrics Forensics Medicine Team which works to prevent child abuse and neglect.
Other programs include the U of L Autism Center, birth defects research and the U of L School of Dentistry.
“Kosair Charities is continuing to help the University of Louisville fill its mission. it’s commitment to meet the needs of children whether it be there care needs, the discovery of new therapies, or the training of new doctors,” said Dr. Gerald Rabalais, Department of Pediatrics.
Throughout the years, Kosair Charities has donated $30 million to support U of L Hospital’s child healthcare.
