Louisville, KY (October 11, 2012) - The 5th Annual I Thirst Dinner will be held on Thursday, November 8th at 6:30pm at the Galt House Hotel. All proceeds will benefit WaterStep, formerly known as EDGE Outreach, a Louisville-based nonprofit that uses training and technology to bring clean water to developing countries. Attendees will hear personal testimonies from people have been affected by the water crisis. Tickets are $125 each, or $2,000 for a corporate table of 10. Worldwide, over one billion people lack access to safe drinking water. That is 1 in 6 people. WaterStep works every day to fight the global water crisis by training and empowering ordinary people to provide both safe, sustainable water, and health and hygiene solutions in their own communities. Since 2001, WaterStep has improved the lives of hundreds of thousands of people in almost two dozen countries including, Haiti, Kenya, India, the Dominican Republic, Pakistan, and Costa Rica.
WaterStep is a Louisville-based 501(c)(3) organization that provides solutions to the root causes of waterborne illness through an approach that combines training and readily-available technology to empower people in crisis around the world.
