NEW ALBANY, IN - On Thursday, May 23, the public is invited to learn more the different types of historic designation found in New Albany, and how those designations impact property owners. What does it mean if something is listed in the National Register of Historic Places? How does that differ from historic district designation through a local ordinance? Christina Pfau, Chair of the New Albany Historic Preservation Commission and owner of Peacock Preservation Consulting, LLC, will lead the workshop, which will address these questions and many more.

Brown Cancer Center marks their 65th straight year of accreditation

LOUISVILLE, KY - James Graham Brown Cancer Center, part of KentuckyOne Health, has been recognized as one of only 21 cancer programs across the nation, and the only cancer program in Kentucky, that has maintained their accreditation for at least 65 consecutive years (starting in 1948).  The Commission on Cancer released a report this month that honors this milestone of consistent quality for cancer programs across the country.

The commission's accredited programs provide their community with high-quality, multidisciplinary patient-centered care. CoC programs evolve in response to new diagnostic treatments, quality assurance and improvement initiatives, and the needs of cancer patients throughout the U.S.
